Lancaster University Management School research projects for Microsoft.

Identified a new product-market opportunity for Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS). Developed an award winning D2C strategic and market-driven insights for high-street labels, fashion outlets, distribution centres, and warehouses in the UK, to benefit from real-time stock, order management, and quicker customer delivery to embrace the e-commerce and digital era.

Industry research in association with UK e-Government and e-Envoy (LGA IDeA) to study the gov IT infrastructure for public accounting and develop a new B2G shared services model for the UK Gov. Created an innovative strategic and knowledge framework with a collaborative approach for all the gov departments to offer integrated services to the citizens of UK. Authored a white-paper for technology and market implementation with a scalable model to other countries (Europe, Mexico and Turkey).

CONTINENTAL RESEARCH

(2007, London, UK)

Market Researcher for public sector clients and MNCs in the UK. Received extensive training in market research techniques. Conducted market surveys, data gathering, and insightful reports for strategic and technologic decisions.

Awarded the Premier Researcher for contributions and performance.

The organisation is now a part of the BVA- BDRC Research and Consulting group.

Oracle

(2008–09, Bengaluru, IN)

Consultant for B2B Channel Marketing strategies and business development for ISV and OEM channel partners based in the US to integrate with Oracle database and middleware.

Spearheaded the SaaS for ISV campaign to enable ISVs transition to On Demand using Oracle technology. Mentored and trained new team members on ISV LOB and Siebel CRM On Demand.

Recognised and awarded the Oracle Hall of fame, MVP, and the Annual Superstar’09 awards for outstanding performance and credibility across verticals.

Founding member of Web2.0 research and analytics team as the first senior analyst for Web 2.0 digital data and media, setting up the new Web 2.0 vertical.

Formulated KPIs, established benchmarks, new industry practices, competitor analysis, and actionable insights for Web 2.0 fintech digital and social media strategies.

Mentored, trained, and implemented analytics tools building the foundation for the Web 2.0 research and analytics team for all the years to come.

AEION EGE, COO (2015–18)
Arts and Entertainment Information Network (AEION) of Elephant God Enterprises (EGE), founded by Just Dial co-founder and family (Mr. and Mrs. Ramani Iyer). A social and professional network for artists and theatre ticketing software. As the COO and a founding team member of 4, I was responsible for the design-development-product-market fit, media solutions, building a scalable platform along with a mobile app, hiring and managing 45+ members, of which 25+ were in-house tech developers, designers, and 20+ were outsourced tech developers, thereby setting up the organisation and the platform strategies. Explored a proof of concept (POC) solution with Neuropsychologist Dr. Jwala Narayanan, Manipal Hospital, for a VR gaming solution to assist patients with cognitive rehabilitation in non-progressive disorders. (Bengaluru, IN)

Macmillan Education × UNICEF (2018)
Authored educational stories promoting the UNSDGs along with 60+ artworks for the original publication of My Earth Songs. The works are complied in 8 booklets for K–12 students and a comprehensive first edition book of songs composed by Grammy awarded artists with over a million copies of the first original editions printed in 2018 distributed across India. It is now published worldwide with several millions of additional copies in distribution. The project is supported by UNICEF and published by Macmillan Education.

Nature Electronics Journal Publication (2019)
Created a visual representation for University of Cambridge scientists’ research on the topic Spins go the distance in organic semiconductors, published on nature.com as a notable confluence of science and art.

DANCE

Nritarutya (2008–12)
Dancer – Indian Contemporary, Bharatanatyam and Folk art disciplines. Performed with the team for numerous cultural events.

Latin Dance India (2008–10)
Dancer – Performed and trained in Latin and Hip Hop dance styles with the Latin Dance India (LDI) founders and the dance team.

Step Up × LDI (2008–09)
Organised weekly dance socials and performances in collaboration with several events partners, dance organisations and independent dancers.

IHLF × LDI – India Hip Hop and Latin Festival (2009)
Organised the first of its kind dance festival bringing together Hip Hop and Latin dance styles in Bangalore, IN, with international artists and dancers across India conducting workshops and performances.

RAIF – Reign of Art India Fest (2012)
Arts and Culture festival project (POC) evaluated to promote art installations, fine arts, spoken word, poetry, book launches for debut artists and authors, in partnership with cultural and international IPs.

FITNESS

Yogic Warrior Workout (2016–17)
Inspired by the traditions of Yogasanas, martial arts, classical dance arts and rhythms, I created a fusion for an intensive body-mind conditioning guided by the gurus at KalariYogi Bangalore, IN (as their former student of Yoga and Kalari). Instructed at Fit District and Tribe Fitness centres, both taken over by Cult Fit.

Cult Fit (2017)
Co-created the first introductory master workout for ‘Prowl’ with Shwetambari Shetty, a pan-India HIIT fitness regime incorporating dance and martial arts, launched in 2018 (opted-out as a master trainer).

Choreographed and trained students and members for dance, fitness, and sports events. Expertise focused on fusion of classical, contemporary, and high intensity moves drawn from Yoga, Bharatanatyam, Martial Arts, Kalaripayattu, Inline skates/ Roller blades etc.

ARTS & CRAFTS

Family Ventures (2014)
Launched The Yarn Closet (2014), a bespoke couture and designer knitwear brand to support a mompreneur undertaking for over 27 years of artisanal crafts of hand-knits, crochet, and macrame, with an network of 50+ knitters and additionally training in-person over a 100 women and students. The collection is now under Auve Gava, rebranded in early 2018.

Launched Native Hill  (2014), an exclusive home-grown and hand-rolled collection of black, green, and white gourmet teas, with a family legacy of over 100 years of tea plantations and having established the first bought leaf factory in the Nilgiris, IN, with global and local auctions.

MAKERS COMMERCE

My Mother Made This (2019–21)
A bootstrapped beta project to empower mompreneurs to promote and sell their hand-crafted products online. Interacted with over 70 makers and onboarded 500+ products, with a two degree impact of 200+ makers. Opened 3 in-store centres in BLR, IN – 2 centres at Woke Co-living, and 1 centre at Dhyaana Wellness centre. Organised the first ‘Coffee with Mothers’ event to promote mompreneurs.

Homby (2020–21)
A mobile app solution to enable neighbourhoods to interact and fend for each other through a buy-borrow-rent-barter system of hyper-local goods and services during COVID to cater to everyday necessities and quick access to resources.

EDTECH PLATFORM

Teacherist (2021)
An open platform to support educators access educational and training resources categorised by topics, gain assistance for classroom sessions and upskill programs. Tutors can create personalised lesson plans for K-12 students with an integrated wrapper ChatGPT AI tool. Additionally, explored using Web3.0 emerging tech for the future of education.

All projects are bootstrapped, independent and in association with family members or industry recognised thought leaders. There are no external partnerships, investors, consultants, or associates involved with any of the works.
